Jonathan Worsley, with his wife Sarah and their children, will be leaving Kew Baptist Church in the summer to take up a position in Nashville, USA at Trinity Church.
Jonathan has been the Senior Pastor at Kew Baptist Church since 2014, when he joined Kew while completing his theological training part-time at Oak Hill. Jonathan was part of the original Antioch plan and has served Christ wholeheartedly at Kew Baptist, seeing growth in maturity and number there. He will be much missed by Co-Mission where his insight and wisdom have been of great benefit, not least his teaching as part of the Ministry Trainee Workshop. Jonathan has also become well known to many since taking on the editorship of Evangelicals Now, where he has helped move the monthly publication forward significantly.
Please pray for Kew Baptist Church as they mourn the loss of the Worsleys to the USA and seek a new pastor. May they continue to be united and make wise decisions, identifying and recruiting a godly and well-trained man to lead this growing church into its next phase and have an eternal impact on Kew.
Please also join us in praying for Jonathan and his family as they prepare for this move, especially that the practicalities – such as obtaining visas – would not be too onerous and that they would settle into this new stage of their ministry quickly and effectively. Pray that God would use this move to spread the gospel further in Nashville and that Jonathan and Sarah would be able to take the opportunity of being closer geographically to Sarah’s family to support them in the future.
