The tragic death of our brother Edward Nelson

18 Aug 2020

Many of you will have heard the sad news of the sudden death of Edward (Edouard) Nelson, a church planter in Paris and a close friend and supporter of Co-Mission. Edward tragically died on Friday last week (14th August) following a rock climbing accident whilst on holiday with his family. He leaves behind him his wife Laura and his four children Nicholas, Sam, Alex and Lucy.

Edward and Laura were mission partners of Christ Church Mayfair and St Peter’s Fulham and key leaders in gospel ministry both in Paris and throughout France. They regularly visited REVIVE Festival and a couple of years ago Laura spoke memorably about the hard mission field that is secular France.

We take great comfort that Edward is now with the Saviour he preached about with such vigour and enthusiasm and we pray for the family he has left behind that the Lord of all compassion would comfort them in their grief.
