PRAY FOR ALL NATIONS CHURCH BARKINGSIDE & CLAYHALL

31 Oct 2022

Please join with us in praying for All Nations Church Barkingside & Clayhall, led by Rick Raja…

Give thanks to God for:

  • Our recent away day and our one-year thanksgiving service marking a year of God’s extraordinary goodness in growing our church.
  • All the new people who have joined us in recent months and are getting stuck into church life on Sundays and midweek in house groups.
  • The generous gift from the FIEC Centenary Mission Fund in enabling us to implement and develop our exciting cross-cultural outreach ministry initiative.
  • The launch of our brand-new branding and website.
  • Fruit from our fortnightly book table.

Please pray for:

  • Our elders and staff teams to work well together to shepherd the church, particularly with the launch of ‘Equip for Service’ and the need for wisdom as we look to build and grow different ministry teams in the coming year.
  • The recruitment of a cross-cultural ministry trainee.
  • Wisdom as we look to reach out to university students with the launch of a brand-new satellite university campus and student halls in our area.
  • The exciting opportunity to reach out to and serve refugees and their families in the nearby refugee hotel.
  • Wisdom in how we serve our community in light of the cost-of-living crisis.
  • The Lord to continue to sustain us by his grace.

PRAY FOR STREATHAM CENTRAL CHURCH

27 Oct 2022

Please join with us in praying for Streatham Central Church, led by Alex Lyell…

Praise God that he holds us because we are in the midst of a lot of changes: appointing a new elder; interviewing for a new children’s, youth and families’ ministry lead; and seeing a lot of people joining the church family and making SCC their home. Give God the glory for these new appointments and all these new people. But we know that these changes will bring inevitable challenges, so please also pray that we will continue to trust that God has us in his hands.

PRAY FOR CHRIST CHURCH MAYFAIR

24 Oct 2022

Please join with us in praying for Christ Church Mayfair, led by Matt Fuller…

  • Give thanks for the Lord’s provision of seven ministry interns, and for visas finally arriving for two US interns. Pray we’d train them well and give them a great experience of working for a church. Ask God to be preparing the interns for a lifetime of service here or overseas.
  • Praise God for positive conversations with the local bishop and archdeacon about a possible church revitalisation in north-west London. Pray that the church members and local clergy would also be positive! Please pray too for Scott and Sharon Furey, who are hoping to take a gang from CCM next year to this church.
  • Give thanks for a number of newcomers at our church. Pray that we would do a good job of helping them feel part of the family and that they would quickly commit. Please pray too that we would help them grow in their walk with the Lord.
  • Please pray for our witness for Jesus. We are particularly encouraging church family to bring friends to two events. First, services on 6 November where there will be a talk entitled ‘Should people be forgiven or cancelled?’ Second, a Christianity Explored course starting on 9 November. Please pray for Matt speaking on the 6th and for many to want to come and find out more. Pray ahead to Christmas services too – after two years of cancellations and Covid nervousness, we’d love to make the most of the Christmas opportunities to share the gospel!
  • One of our focuses this year is to become a more prayerful church. Please pray that we would pray! And that we would be dependent on the Lord.

PRAY FOR LONDON SLAVIC FELLOWSHIP

20 Oct 2022

Please join with us in praying for London Slavic Christian Fellowship, led by Sergey Chernov…

We praise God for:

  • Us being able to visit the family of my wife, Hanna, in August after a two-year break.
  • Great support from the Сo-Mission family for our ministry and for other Christians in / from Ukraine.
  • All brothers and sisters who have opened their homes for Ukrainians.
  • The safety of our family, who are still in Ukraine.
  • The two Ukrainian families who joined our launch team last summer.

Please partner with us in prayer for:

  • New opportunities to reach our Russian-speaking neighbours with the gospel.
  • Visas for Marina, Pavel and their two kids, who are moving to London to join St Michael’s Fulwell in November, as well as planning to serve in our church.
  • Unity and love for our church members (both Ukrainian and Russian) amidst the war.
  • Our upcoming Christmas services and opportunities to attract new people to church.

PRAY FOR ST PETER’S FULHAM

17 Oct 2022

Please join with us in praying for St Peter’s Fulham, led by Rupert Standring…

  • Give thanks for the men and women currently exploring the Christian faith on our evangelistic courses. Pray for good soil!
  • Pray for our sermon series on sex, marriage and gender. Please pray that we would have clear heads and loving hearts as a result.
  • Pray that our home groups would be places of gospel-centred relationships as we study the book of Mark this term.
  • Give thanks for our new staff members, Denis and Jess. Please pray that they would quickly feel at home and equipped for their ministries.

PRAY FOR ST PAUL’S HARRINGAY

13 Oct 2022

Please join with us in praying for St Paul’s Harringay, led by Pete Snow…

  • Give thanks for newcomers joining church. We have a record number coming to our upcoming newcomers’ lunch.
  • Please pray for God to make us wise in everyday life as we drink in Proverbs in both sermons and home groups. Ask God to equip us for 10,000 wise everyday choices.
  • Pray for our door-knocking team. Over four years they’ve knocked on 3000 doors and given out 140 copies of Mark's Gospel. Please pray for them to persevere when they feel small, and for hearts that burst with the love of God in Christ.
  • Pray for God to supply more under-18s leaders as we have more and more children and youth in the church.
