Pray for Co‑Mission

Pray for St Andrews Chelsea

23 Jan 2020
For St Andrew's Chelsea, please join us in
Thanking God for:
  • Two people coming to faith at the end of 2019 after finishing CE course
  • A student wanting to be baptised as an adult in 2020 after first coming as a child through a holiday club
  • A couple of new faces coming regularly since Christmas
Asking God for:
  • To press home to all our hearts our 2020 vision: 'To grow in Christ's compassion for the lost'
  • Good response to teaching on gospel giving (26 Jan and 2 Feb) so we can continue to train gospel workers and make necessary improvements to the building
  • Guests to come to 'Taste of Life' dinner on 11 Feb to launch next CE course
  • God to change us through his word in 1 Corinthians (mornings) and Joshua (evenings)

Pray for the Bridge Church Peckham

20 Jan 2020

Join us in praying for the Bridge Church Peckham.

Give thanks to God for:

  • Sustaining us over our first year since our public launch in January 2019.
  • The relationships that have been developing within the church family that have been built from the ground up.
  • The various bits of ministry training that we’ve been able to pursue in equipping members for ministry in various contexts, both internally as a church, and externally through the Leadership Project alongside New Life Church Catford and others.
  • The various opportunities we’ve had to engage with non-Christians and pursue deeper discussions about the gospel with those open to it, particularly through our door to door visits and through Christianity Explained.

Please pray to God for:

  • Our upcoming efforts in re-starting door visits and Christianity Explained for this term. Please pray that we’d have good initial responses, and for ongoing interaction leading towards conversions.
  • Us as we work urgently towards setting up a fully functioning children’s ministry. Please pray for a good team and more workers.
  • Our new apologetic type events this term aimed at addressing culturally appropriate issues that hinder understanding of, or openness to the gospel.
  • Our shift in the midweek to having fellowship groups. Please pray that it’d serve the purpose of deepening us in discipleship, and helping us to grow in deeper love for one another.
  • Our first convert. Please pray particularly for those we are speaking to who are currently considering following Jesus, and are counting the cost.

Pray for St. Peter's Fulham

16 Jan 2020
Please join with us in praying for St Peter's Fulham.
Giving thanks for:
  • Many servant-hearted youth and children's leaders currently serving our growing number of youth and children both mid-week and on Sundays.
  • Well attended Christmas services, particularly at our new services for 2019 - Youth Advent Service and Jazz Carols.
  • The people who have signed up to attend a Hope Explored Course this January to explore more about the Christian faith.
That God would:
  • Provide for their monthly book table outreach on the local North End Road, where they hand out Chrisitan literature to the local community and engage in conversations about the Christian faith.
  • Thank God for Andrew and the team and the opportunities they have had to speak of Jesus and distribute Christian literature.  Please pray that people would read what they have been given and encounter Christ as they do so.
  • Provide opportunities for the team to have more conversations with people about Jesus.  Pray that God would bring them into contact with those who would be willing to read the Bible.
  • Provide particularly for their contact with Muslims: that God would give them hearts and minds that are ready to share the gospel with our Muslim neighbours.
  • Provide more workers for this corner of the harvest field who can regularly help with the monthly book table.

Pray for Longheath Baptist Church

13 Jan 2020

Join us in praying for Longheath Baptist Church

Thank God for

  • The growth of our children's work
  • Our drum kit from a charity shop
  • Two men keen to get baptised this year

Asking God for

  • Wisdom for the leaders as they decide the vision and bible topics for 2020
  • Children's and teens work to continue to grow

Pray for Roehampton Student Church

08 Jan 2020
Please join us in thanking God and praying for the ministry of Roehampton Student Church (RSC)

Give thanks for:
  • God’s provision of venues for our Tuesday and Sunday meetings, and for good relationships with the two schools where we meet.
  • A number of RSC members reading the Bible with not-yet-Christians.
  • Hannah (our trainee) co-ordinating discipleship among the girls of RSC and giving them tools to disciple others.
  • A team of leaders taking ownership of growth in different ministry areas.
  • A number of ex-students who have graduated and chosen to remain in the local area to be involved at RSC.
Please pray for:
  • Our upcoming weekend away to be a really useful time in strengthening relationships and going deep into God’s word, as Tom Sweatman from Cornerstone Kingston comes to teach about the return of Jesus.
  • God to establish a sustainable gospel witness in Roehampton over the long term, and ongoing conversations with the network about how best to do that.
  • Deepening Christian maturity in RSC members.
  • Newcomers to come through the doors, given our proximity to campus.
  • Us to maintain the quality of our Sunday meetings.
