We acknowledge with great praise and thanks to God the faithful
and fruitful ministry of Richard Coekin, who has announced his intention from
2024 to move from his roles as Senior Pastor at Dundonald Church and Mission
Director of Co-Mission to pursue a new season of ministry, training and
equipping church leaders.
Richard has faithfully and courageously served Dundonald Church as
Senior Pastor over 28 years and for the last 18 years has been Mission Director
of Co-Mission. We hope that Richard will take up ‘Emeritus’ roles at both
Dundonald Church and Co-Mission, and are wholly supportive of him giving his
time from summer 2024 to developing the new ‘Pebble’ initiative offering
consultancy and training for Pastors and church leadership teams as part of the
new ‘Reach Ministries’ work.
By God’s grace, Richard, together with Sian and their family, has
led Dundonald from a small church-plant in a school hall, through a number of
local church plants and 2 building projects to become a diverse, thriving and
resourcing church in South-West London. Over that time Richard was instrumental
in planting other churches and starting other ministries, including
Christ Church Mayfair, Westminster at One and the Parliamentary Bible Study in
central London.
Since 2005 Richard has headed Co-Mission, a network of churches
which he founded. Helping to plant and grow churches across London into a
network of churches. Richard has also contributed to growing various
other ministry initiatives such as the 9:38 recruitment ministry, the London
Men’s and Women’s Conventions and the Planting Collective.
We look to God to lead us into the future, and guide us through
the appointment of a new Senior Pastor for Dundonald church. We wait with
confidence to see what God will continue to do in the Co-Mission network
and through Richard’s new ministry.
To God be all the glory for what He has done among us!
